This is the Latin phrase borrowed from Rear Admiral Peary's island website here in Casco Bay. Sounds like a good saying to me.

What a day. Lake Placid, New York, what a city, what a place. I still get goose bumps, and sometimes even fight back a tear hiding as emotional jitters left over from that incredible moment in time. Jim Craig, Mike Eruzione of Winthrop, MA, Coach Brooks, and the rest of that of that squad of college students; Vladislav Tretiak the goaltender whom I was told that the Russian trained by firing pucks out of a canon. I can still hear the voice of Jim Mackay today like it was yesterday. I was 7 years old. My life would never be the same.
